Why the Coalition?
While workplace fatalities and injuries have been improving over the past several years for the general population, fatalities and injuries are on the rise for Utah’s multicultural workers. What’s concerning is local incidents are beginning to mirror national statistics—Utah’s multicultural workers, particularly Hispanics, are being injured at higher rates than their counterparts.
As a catalyst for change, a group of organizations have joined together to form the Coalition for Multicultural Workers’ Safety and Health. The Coalition is dedicated to helping providing resources and support for Utah employers looking to improve safety.
